Pele Powerhouse
Portable power stations · Home backup

Keep the lights on. Anywhere.

Pele Powerhouse is a straight-talking guide to battery power stations, solar generator kits and home backup systems. We line up the official specs side by side so you can pick the right size for camping, the RV or the next outage.

Quiet power, no gas can

A portable power station is a big rechargeable battery with real wall outlets on it. Charge it from the wall, a car or solar panels, then run a fridge, CPAP, laptop, lights or power tools with no fumes and no noise. Bigger systems connect to your home’s circuits so the essentials keep running during an outage.

How we work: every product here is spec-compared, not lab-tested. The numbers come straight from the manufacturer’s official product page. We haven’t run our own bench tests, and we don’t publish made-up reviews.

Buying guide

How to choose a power station

Capacity (Wh)

Watt-hours set how long you can run things. Add up what you need: a 60W fridge running about a third of the time uses roughly 500Wh a day. Around 500Wh covers weekends; 1,000–2,000Wh handles outages; 3,000Wh and up is home backup.

Output (W)

Continuous watts limit what can run at once. Surge watts cover motor start-ups like fridges and pumps. Check the label on your biggest appliance and leave some headroom.

LiFePO4 battery

Lithium iron phosphate cells are rated for thousands of cycles (3,500–4,000 to 80% on the models here) and are considered a stable chemistry. Every pick on this page uses LiFePO4.

Recharge speed

Fast AC charging refills most units in one to two hours. For long outages, solar input matters more: a higher max solar wattage means fewer hours of sun to refill.

Expandability

Some systems take add-on batteries, and some connect to a transfer switch or panel to power home circuits. If home backup is the goal, start with a platform that can grow.
